Sunday was really good weather so we both worked outside; May filling in soil where over the waste  pipes and me finishing the guttering, setting out for the path to the front door and filling trenches alongside May. We were both knackered by the end of the day and hurting the following day but it was worth it. The photo is May enjoying a well earned cuppa.    

We have also heard from the phone people. They are now promising phone and broadband on the 6th August. I will believe it when it happens!

It has been a long time since the last post. We have moved in; the underfloor heating is now working and keeping us nice and warm, we continue to work on the kitchen – May even put some wallpaper up last week. The blockwork is complete; the outside drainage is finished but is waiting for the ground to dry and thaw so that everything can be covered over leveled. Then we can start working on the garden. We were given 100’s of bulbs for Christmas and want to get them in asap. The garage base and hardstanding and path to the back door still needs to be done so we are using a path made of pallet to avoid the mud.The guttering still needs to be put up so we get wet going in and out of the house if it is raining, but that might be our project for the weekend.
